Force full removal of lamination/plastic sheet from certificates, documents, blueprint, and bonds is called de lamination or lamination removal. It’s quite a dangerous/risk process to do because the plastic material melts and bonds with the paper in it. Removal of lamination from a document, or de-lamination, can be done with a combination of heat and cutting, but several factors need to be considered before beginning the process. Older plastic can be easier to get off the document if the seal is starting to wear, or tough if the plastic has fused.
